L'Uliveto is found in the territory belonging to the city of Reitano (the name comes from the Arabic "Rahal" [Reitanu], meaning "resting place") a small town at 400 meters above sea in the province of Messina.
The town is formed by a small residential area, settled on the north western side of the Nebrodi mountains, descending towards the valley of the Santo Stefano di Camastra torrent and the outlying area of Villa Margi, on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The agro-tourism is strategically placed ; in fact, it is quickly reached from almost any spot in the Sicilian Region. To reach the hacienda from Palermo take the A20 Highway, and take the S. Stefano di Camastra exit. From there, continue on the S.S 117 with the indication of Reitano 3 Km. Other options would be SS. 113 or the railroad system; in both cases, exit at the S. Stefano train Station. All three options take approximately 80 minutes.
Coming from Messina, the instructions are the same, but in the opposite direction. The trip lasts from approximately 100 minutes to 2 hours.
For those leaving for the hacienda from Catania, take Highway A19 to Messina, and then follow the directions given from Messina; otherwise, take Highway A19 to Enna and then SS. 117 going north.
